Q1. My counter wont show up!
A1. Make sure that you have uploaded the files in the same directory as your web page
Q2. I did! But it just wont show up!
A2. Ok, well try CHMOD(ing) the files to 777 and also make sure PHP is allowed on your server
Q3. What is CHMOD!?
A3. CHMOD is short for "Change Mode" because the counter gets written to (incremented) the file needs to be writable.
Q4. I want my counter to be blue!
A4. To change the colour of your counter change the HTML in your counter.php file to include font tags:
<font color="blue"><? php echo ; ?></font>
Q5. I don't want people to see my counter!
A5. You must still include the php include... statement just don't delete the HTML code in count.php. You could view how many hits u get by going to: http://www.yoursite.com/hitcounter.txt. Alternatively you could make the counter text white (or to match your background colour)
Q6. I want my counter to increase every time another page is viewed!
A6. Simply add the counter to each page! But your pages must all be in the same directory.
Q7. How do I rename my web page to index.php
A7. The easiest way is to load up your web page (index.html, etc) into notepad - then go to 'save as' and type "index.php" and from the drop down list below it select "All Files" If that fails you can try using MSDOS.
Q8. Can I modify your web counter and make it better?
A8. Yeh, course! - The code is relatively simple, everyone has to learn from somewhere don't they? : ) If you do make an amazing counter, send it to me!
