I would like to see this thing integrated into a dreamweaver extension. Then I would donate a good chunk of change for sure.

besides theres a much better way to code php anyway use php designer 2005 Wink

dreamweaver i think works better for html type pages(though me being the old-fashion coder use notpad for html)

The whole thing behind a dreamweaver extension is you don't have to code. I'm sick of wading through code and configuring forms and scripts and stuff. It would be nice if there was a visual interface for DW to design forms. If there was, I'd buy it.

yeah but thats the whole fun of programming Wink codes, lots & lots of codes

I have used dreamweaver b4 and it is nice compared to frontpage(which is junk) but in all honest opinion i dont like my hands being held while coding Wink

esp since i after a while knowing the code in & out will come in handy when something goes wrong in the code Wink

but i dont think james will be doing this anytime soon dude, he busy enough with the site and other items, though im sure he'll keep this in mind when he gets some free time Wink

but ido fully recommend php designer 2005 for your php coding as it is very good and has some alot of power for being free Smile

I have php designer 2005. For one thing I don't find coding as "fun". I also prefer to do everything in one program instead of hopping around from program to program. I also like be able to go from code to wysiwyg which DW provides.

Different strokes for different folks.

I didn't really expect you guys to do this I just thought maybe, since there isn't a DW extension available that does this, you might think is't a good idea. I was wrong.

Thanks for the replies.

well its not that its a bad idea, but im just telling you to not get your hopes up as james is really busy and i dont think he would make that.

but yea some people love to code, and some dont Wink i love to, but maybe you like something that i dont Wink

Boy do I understand busy. I'm just trying to find ways to do things faster and more efficient. I've got requests in for something like this by programmers that specialize in DW Extensions.

BTW, any idea why, when this forum notifies me that a reply is posted it duplicates the email 2 or three times? I don't normally get duplicates, it seems to be specific to this forum.

Any ways, it was fun going back and forth with you and it's a great little script and James, if you're out there, don't work to hard, I know I will, hehe.

Thanks

James

Coding my scripts into a Dreamweaver extension would be sweet, but like you point out it would take up lots of time.

If I do get any spare time, I like to dedicate it to writing more free scripts - soon you will see some new ones cropping up.... Smile

Quite personally , DreamWeaver sucks raw eggs.......
Sorry , but in reality , It really is a bad editor to use.

DreamWeaver allows the coder to write bad code , if you have a shred of doubt I dare anyone to do a test comparison and then see if your code produced in DreamWeaver is really Valid HTML by a good HTML Tidy program , you'll see..... Wink

DreamWeaver is by far the most overloaded program ever produced for creating HTML pages , all you need to produce Valid HTML is the program in the HTML (Helpful Links) section of the forum , and download the free CSELite HTML validator , yeah , it's a valid editor as well and doesnt let mistakes slip by as DreamWeaver does Wink

It's just my personal opinion though , but then again I've done the comparison and seen for myself.

People love DreamWeaver though because of how simple it is to use , when in reality , it really stinks Wink

actually i think microsoft's frontpage is more junk than dreamweaver to be honest Wink

but yes it is easy but at times it is not valid or the programs add stuff thats not needed at all.

also taking a class on this you can see why some people who never coded before says its hard just by the program i used(dreamweaver) i could have done it quickier, faster & better by hand with only notepad and my knowledge Wink
