I am after a nice way to incorporate some images in my web pages, a kind of gallery. Can anyone recommend a method of doing this.

I want to have thumbnails which when clicked will open into a new window.

What methods do you prefer ?

I was thinking of something more professional than that. Frontpage will do that for me as default.

go to http://coppermine.sourceforge.net/. They provide a really nice gallery script. It requires php and MySQL though. I your server doesn't allow MySQL databases, then you may want to ask James to customize something for u.

Any more suggestions. I could really do with a script that will display a thumbnail within my own template and then pop up a window with the full image when clicked. But must be simple to use and add more images.

Any ideas or script quotes welcome.

This is a nice simple image gallery that you can slot into html pages, it creates clickable thumbnails and with a little work on the html side is simple to install.

Hi,

I'm in the process of creating this free download which happens to be an image gallery script.

I'll let you know the progression of it on here, or you can simply email me

Cheers

I suppose you can tell how desperate I am for a script by the quick response. Any ideas on what it will look like or any info at all will be greatly appreciated.

you might want to try www.hotscripts.com or theres always my Auto Image Gallery:
http://www.cj-design.com/portfolio/autogallery/

It was written about 2 years ago but its still pretty good. Features include:

* Admin Interface (http://www.cj-design.com/portfolio/autogallery/admin)
* Mass Image Insert (point to a directory of images and it adds/thumbnails the lot)
* Stats
* Auto Refresh
* MySQL for speed.

Does loads of other things too as you may be able to see.

Only downside is its not free - contact me for a quote and tell me what you require from your gallery, i'll be able to add it in.

Cheers Smile

Edit: more info here:

That looks pretty much what I am after, nice neat and quick. How the hell did I miss it.

Its worth buying if it comes with the pics

How much are we looking at here, my site relies on donations as many do so dependant on how much is in the pot will determine the sale.

another idea is using a portal script, like mkportal (http://www.mkportal.it) which has a gallery built in to it. It does come with other things built-in though, so it may not work for you.
